Operating Procedures and Maintenance Instructions for Leaf Spring Electrophoresis Line – Suspension Chain

Based on the information provided by the equipment manufacturer, the following is organized: 1. Operating procedures and fault elimination of the suspension chain
(1) Operating Procedures
Before starting up, check whether all components are arranged in accordance with the normal procedure, such as whether the motor screws are tightened, etc.
2. Connect the power supply to a three-phase power supply.
3. Turn on the conveying switch;
4. Turn on the heating system switch;
5. Adjust the frequency converter to the process speed. Once this speed is set, do not adjust it easily. Avoid product quality problems caused by the mismatch between speed and process;
Before shutting down, first turn off all heating control switches and let the conveyor continue to run for 15 to 20 minutes. Only then can the power switch of the conveyor be turned off to prevent the conveyor chain from being in a high-temperature state for a long time, which may affect the service life of the equipment.
(2) Fault Elimination
When the conveyor is running normally but suddenly stops
(1) Turn off the power and first check the mechanical part.
(a) Whether the transmission seat is stuck for transmission; (Adjust the transmission seat
(b) Whether there are foreign objects in the track blocking the chain; (Remove foreign objects
(c) Whether the lifting gear is jammed with other objects. (Straighten out the lifting gear
(2) All the above inspections are normal. Let’s check the electrical control part again:
(a) Whether the switch is abnormally closed or open; (Calibration switch
(b) Whether the frequency converter has no output. If there is no output or the output power supply voltage does not reach 380V, please contact the equipment manufacturer. Do not disassemble and repair it by yourself.
(c) Check whether the motor is damaged. If damaged, please replace it with a motor of the same brand and power.

2. When the conveyor line is operating normally during normal times but after a period of use, it is felt that the operation is not smooth
(1) It’s possible that the chain slide frame has lost oil. (Please add grease for lubrication and it will operate normally.)
(2) Whether the transmission seat is positioned; (Locate it
(3) Check whether the mother chain on the transmission seat is loose and whether the teeth on the mother chain are damaged.
3. The drive motor is not working
(1) Abnormal power supply or blown fuse; Check the input and output voltages of the 380V frequency converter and repair the fuse.
(2) Regulator failure; (Replace
(3) The power supply line of the motor is too long and malfunctions. (Inspect the power supply lines
(4) Protector action; Find out the cause of the protector’s operation, eliminate the fault and then turn on the machine.
(5) The motor is damaged. (Replace
4. When the traction chain does not move, the protector operates
(1) The rollers in the drying chamber are prone to fall off due to the bearings working at high temperatures for a long time. Regularly maintain and replace the bearings, and use high-temperature resistant lubricating liquid grease; German speciai220 special high-temperature liquid oil is recommended; add high-temperature solid grease to the conveyor slide frame and balls every 4 to 12 months; American IMSCO2018 or 2012 special high-temperature solid grease is recommended.
(2) Improper installation and adjustment of the drive chain caused wear and detachment of the connecting pins, resulting in the detachment of the drive chain. Adjust the drive chain correctly, add grease regularly and check the drive chain connection pins. Use ordinary solid grease.
(3) The reducer is stuck inside. (Disassembly and maintenance
(4) The support rail is loose or improperly adjusted in position, blocking the drive chain. (Reinstall, adjust position
5. Partial sagging of the traction chain during operation
The traction chain becomes longer due to wear, causing the tensioning device to reach the limit position. Remove a section of the traction chain and adjust the lead of the tensioning device to the appropriate position.
6. Oil leakage from the reducer
(1) The oil plug is loose or the sealing ring is aged and damaged; (Tighten the oil plug or replace the sealing ring
(2) The bearing oil seal is damaged; (Replace the oil seal
(3) Too much oil was added, exceeding the fuel gauge, causing the oil to overflow. (Control the amount of fuel added and do not exceed the position specified on the fuel gauge.)
7. The noise from the reducer is too loud
(1) The reducer is short of oil; (Observe the oil gauge and add oil to the designated level.
(2) The bearing is short of oil or damaged. (Replace the bearing and apply grease
8. The chain broke
(1) Severe wear; (Replace
(2) The safety pin slot is not in position; (Reinstall the safety pin and use qualified materials
(3) The heavy blocks in the tensioning device fell to the ground, causing the tensioning device to fail to function. (Shorten the chain length
(4) The tensioning device is jammed or out of balance; (Repair the tensioning device to make it flexible
(5) The chain gets caught in an obstacle.

9. The safety pin is cut off
(1) There is an obstacle blocking the chain. (Remove obstacles
(2) The load-bearing capacity exceeds the designed load. (Reduce load
10. Crawling occurs when the chain is in operation
If there is resistance at one point, the crawling will be rhythmic; if there is resistance at several points, the crawling will be irregular. While driving, check along the chain line and remove the resistance at the jammed points.
11. The drive chain is severely worn
(1) The position of the chain is incorrect; (Adjusted by degree
(2) Tilt; (Readjust the installation
(3) Poor lubrication. (Add grease
